I like your like on putting a few of the newer parts. I can't make up my mind on my truck, so I'm just leaving it as is. I was thinking about putting on 07 or 08 front sheet metal and rear tail lights, just to mess with people. Old truck, new look.

I've been told that you need ALOT more parts then just the grill/bumper and lights. From what I've been told its basically the whole front of the truck. Ask Deb (littleleadfoot) she knows.

If it don't ,we make it fit...The thing I did find that with the headlights you have to upgrade the wiring harness...I guess what I read if you start tapping into the old harness the resistance goes up and wires heatup and burn......thats not good.

Worst case, I do have a 08 half ton thats not worth anything. I thought about just taking the front sheet metal parts off it. The truck isn't six months old, its already dropped in value in half. Next year it will be worth less than the 02.

It might make me feel better. I could have torched my car on Saturday. 10km out of the service shop. They forgot to put in the bolts that hold in my under car air dam. When it came out at around 140kph, it made a loud thump the car vibrated pretty bad and made me think that I had lost the motor. I'm guessing that their is around $2k of damage to the front facia. Thats what I get for owning a pretty car. What was I thinking. The old dodge would have asked for more.

If I was to go for Sport headlights and had the time to do it, I'd put in 3rd Gen lights on my 02. Never thought of it until I found these pics.

But right now, any headlight would do after killing Bambi!!

LMC has a bunch of different expensive headlight set-ups.

Kinda like a kid in a candy store, just dont look at the pricing as it ruins the fun

The sport lights have 4 bulbs in them, the regular lights just have 2. Thats why you need to change the harness.

You could run the LMC heavy duty light harness and it would take all the load off of the stock harness and light switch.

Good idea Chris. You should do that for the entire electrical system. Its kinda underdesigned to start with. I've learnt this the hard way as well. I remember frying an ECM down by Wayburn. I was lucky enough it held until I got back to Calgary, it was a slow drive home. Do you have to reprogram the PCM to work in a different truck or is that dealer BS? I was told that for the ECM as well. I was told that its serial number locked, just so you keep coming back to the dealer for that special servicing (wrecking). I'm with Fred, I don't like the dealer working (ruining) on my ride. Its kinda turned me off from buying a new truck.

I was going to price out some materials and build my own. The light plugs are about $8 each and then the relays and wire shouldn't take much.. Then I know the terminations would be soldered/heatshrunk not crimped. Making it a 4 light setup would be easy and you could make it a 4 light on high setup.. Hmmmm..

The 3rd gen lights look pretty large in there..LOL...
