HMMM....Perial silver and perial black....That would look good...Or even black cherry is very nice.Chris painted his truck in that color...

Yeah,, burgundy is nice too,, a real nice dark burgundy... I seen one like that too, it was very nice

Do you guys know if the cummins red is a special color of red? I was going to use a brite red for the engine. Semi-gloss black for air tubes, air horn, brackets. I'm kinda stuck using white for my truck and I like the stock look. I just want the new looking truck, nothing too fancy. If I go to fancy, here in Calgary someone will steal or trash it.

I always prefer simple, subtle, practical, durable & no bling. Semi-gloss black.

No matter what you do, the pipes will get scratched & chipped.
If you go with a unique color or process it will be hard to touch up.

I debated body color (gun metal gray) for my Mustang's 6 point roll bar but I'm so glad I went semi-gloss black.
No matter how careful I am (& I barely drive the car) scratches & chips happen. It's so easy to touch them up with black touch up paint.

Yes I agree there too,,, and is also part of my decision process,, I know that my roll cage is just going to be black

What parts are you gonna get coated anyhow? I'd imagine the twin pipes, air horn, alt bracket, cp3 bracket. Are you staying with the plastic valve cover, or are you gonna put a 2nd gen cover on? I'd still vote for a dark metallic grey.

I think I am going to eventually get a billet cover from genos,, I am going to do the alt bracket, shock towers, altenator, anything I can take off and get done, the valve cover parts,, all of it is going to get done...

I have a freind that runs the powdercoating shop in GP

Kev, it will one nice truck when your done. Just keep at her.

I'm enjoying my truck in stock mode even, which is kinda suprising coming from me. Its just parts anyways and beer. I must be getting lazy, as I trying hard to not to hot rod the truck and I want to put some mile back on the truck. Just can't get over than 24v VP idle sound, luv it...

Hey, this is unrelated to your current topic, but I noticed in your sig you've got a Fluidampr. Any issues with it in cold weather? (I live in Fort St. John) Aside from that, did it do what it's supposed to? Looks like a pretty quick truck you've built there!

Not to speak for Kev, but I have fluid dampers on both of my trucks. They work well, and there isn't much change, if any, in cold weather. Mine are both on dual disc 5 spds, auto's might vary.

The fluid damper was an awesome investment in my opinion. I noticed it the first time I started the truck, it smoothed out the idle right off the bat
