Mines one complete aluminum piece, not welded. I put it into my truck so I know its there. I have a hard time believing that an aftermarket part would have a dodge part # on it.
For my truck, I was the guy that put it into the truck and was the guy that unpacked my transmission from the skid, so the buck stops with me. I even checked the torque on the converter/crankshaft bolts three times, just to make sure it was tight, as I have a habit of breaking stuff.

I agree with you Daniella, but when I bought it I was told that no one had any issues with vibration. When I started up that truck, I had an odd vibration at low engine speeds (idle). That was 100k ago. It was my big 5in exhaust rubbing on the cab of my truck. That kinda sounds dirty. When you run twins that 5in dump runs right on the cab slit line. I had to hack/bag it flat.
Chris, I have all the parts for my quad tune-up. I kinda excited, as it has handle bar warmers and I'm looking at getting a plow.. Hopefully next year I'll get a chance to use it more than a few trips. I can't believe that you have 1500 hrs on yours. Mine was totalled at 50hr

Sorry to hear your luck Kevin. I would go straight to Suncoast and talk to them about it. Leave out the "middleman". IMHO Suncoast should hear more about this type of bait and switch from this vendor. I have at least 3 other stories from other performance shops that work on Dmaxes that have had STOCK Torque converters put in where they paid $6K for a race transmission and TC installed from that very vendor...

You should be able to tell a laminated flexplate from a stocker. The stocker is stamped steel. Laminated will be several layers of steel. I would imagine it would have some more weight to it as well.
