Sounds like the makings of a narrowly avoided and severely uncool situation.

I really don't like seeing stuff like that. Very unprofessional at best.

That said, it didn't blow up, you still have your component parts ( feet, legs, etc ) and you will get to the bottom of the story.

Good Luck Kev

Yet another thing to add to my list of reasons as to why my truck will never roll into that shop.

I was told by many that they had their "own" flexplates where they beefed a stock one up by adding a center section to the stock one then rebalancing them. That's terrible Kevin, did they think you were never gonna see that??

Yeah I have cooled down from last night... I was fit to be tied last night when I discovered this.... Now I know that the word will get back to them, and I am intentionally not putting the name of the company on here.
Unfortunatly the origional purchase of the flexplate was 4 years ago, which really has my head a scratching, I am almost at the thought that possibly there was a switch done at a later date???? You would think at the HP level that I am at a stock flex wouldnt have lived this long..... Oh well I am going to order a good flex plate here soon and be done with it.

It's the "flywheel" for an automatic tranny. It bolts to the crankshaft and then the torque converter bolts to it.
