Homemade twins project
Here is some pictures of my homemade twins project that I got on the go. My first set-up will be the Garrett 3782-2/BTH3B set-up. So far its been a pretty easy build. I have built two sets of air tubes, a 4in set and a 3 1/2in set. Once I get a feel for this set-up I plan on tryout a larger and smaller primary turbo and replace the BTH-3B. I have two different primaries available. The smaller Garrett 4294R and a monster T-88. I'm curious to see how these different primarys turbo will effect twins set-up with still using 3782 as the secondary. I have pictures of my set-up and I'll post them here shortly. I have to pick up the different sized tube hose as the inlet of the garrett 3782 is 4in. Hopefully tonight I will have the hot downtube cut out. Turbonetics have a special wastegate actuvator so you can run the primary boost into one side and run secondary boost into the other side. I plan to run two adjustable dials to control how differential (boost pressure) across each turbo (primary/secondary) so this will effect how each turbo lights-up. I can set this up so that I can adjust this from inside my truck cab. This will give me the flexibilty to adjust the wastegates on the fly. Sounds too cool to me.

Heres some pictures. Hopefully this works, this is the first time I put pictures onto this website. I'll click off so more pics with both air tubes on. This picture has the wrong hot downtube on as I just building that one today. I went to my local scrap yard and they gave me the metal to cut the flanges and I'm going to try a 3in and 2 1/2in downtube just to see what effect that they have on the twins. I'm planning on building a set for my car this summer. The turbos are almost the same size as whats on my truck. The first grouping of turbo are my secondary turbo. the first is a 3582R, 3782R and the HX-40. The other grouping is my primary, the first is the 4294R, T-88 and the BTH-3B.

Its coming together. This tranny issue sucks. Currently working on purging the tranny lines of all the grundies. I had one of my air compressor line blow-off and scare the stuff out of me. I'm also brain storming on how I plan to run the wastegates. The first outting will be to try with the stock internal wastegate set to open at 7psi and run a external pressure control valve. Anyway you slice it, its going to be better than the HX-40 was. I was talking to a guy that was running the same garrett 3782-2 on a six speed truck running the edge comp box and a set of 275 injectors. He told me that the spool-up was better than the HX-35 and it was a noticable change in performance. Thats good news to me
