Am I reading this dyno graph right?

This is the graph I finally got from the dyno run I did at the august blackout. The HP seams low, But HP numbers were way lower this year than last year on a few trucks I know. The torque numbers seam to be about 825? not sure if thats right its not that clear. I know my tires were spining on the rollers they were a little glazed when the truck came off the dyno. Any how, do these numbers seam right for my mods?

Your a bit low. I ran a edge tow pro and a set of BD90's, 4in exhaust and stock HY35 turbo. I got a 320rwhp for that combo and around 800 ft*lbs

yea the guy that ran after me got 387 HP, last year he got 460 hp, plus we added water meth and 40 hp injectors for this year. He should have got some good numbers with his 6.7 this year. After my dissapointing run I talked to a few people and they were all kinda madd about the low numbers. I really want to get a decent pull on this truck. What do you think my truck would put out?

Curtis, your truck is definately a high 300 hp unit... a good way to tell is take your MPH in the 1/4 and use the HP calculator that is on this site somewheres... you need to know the weight of your truck and the MPH and it will tell you the HP of your truck,, it is quite accurate

rage, whats your max egt's? I'm trying to gauge your set-up vs. mine. I'm currently using DPP's 3, stock SO VP, smarty #5 catcher, edge comp (no wire tap) and water/methanol. I max out around 1100-1200 and I guess that I have low 300 HP. Max boost is 32psi. I seem to get decent fuel mileage this way. I've been averaging 18-20mpg. I'm tapping the pump this weekend, I was just too lazy to put wire tap.

yea I can push past 1400 if i push her hard for too long. kevins right about the turbo, I think 20 guys checked that thing at the track lol. I've been running #7 catcher and the EZ on kill. I was getting about 43PSI max on that turbo with the wastegate blocked with a set of vise grips lol i always have vise grips hangin off my turbo. I never liked the turbo but its at BD right now getting overhauled so hopefully they fix it so it works good. I tryed a HP calc i guessed at like 3000 pounds and a 16.4 time and it gave me numbers in the 200's lol might be a little off. I think the shifting screws with the numbers. Haveing 825 foot pounds of torque makes me happy, most power I've ever had. Never thought I'd get it from a diesel 4x4 lol. Which water meth kit are you running? I've been thinking about nitrous, but water meth is something i can use on a daily bases so i'm considering it.

That dyno graph is all messed up.. HP doesn't usually drop with RPM. Looks to me that the load factor on the dyno wasn't high enough. Bad graph...

Yeah well look at the wavy line i don't think thats normal. I think the tires spun hard that run. Or talk to anyone that ran on it. last year the dyno seamed to be better.

Mines a snow kit 220 psi kit. I just use one nozzle. I can run two nozzles but I think at that point that it hurts more than helps. I just leave mine on all the time, and I use windshield fluid. Just make sure that the engine is up to operating temps, as it will complain if you dont.

How much is BD want for a rebuild? We could get you a decent new turbo S300 variant for around $1k mark, abit more if you want a wastegate. The S362/71 or S364/71 seems to work nice in street trucks. I like the garrett GT37, as it will spool up fast and pushes a decent amount of air, but it barks lots, if you have a clutch. Garrett, has to do some adjustments to their anti-stall bleed port to improve this. You can see this by the inducer of the turbo.

I'm not to sure what BD charges This job should be on warranty I hope. I think i paid more than that for my BD s300 lol. A wastegate is no issue for me like i said I normaly have vise grips hangin of the line to the wastegate. I have been thinking about a 62/70/14 of some sorts, just so I can spool up quick every time i shift, but then i worry about EGTs when i pull the camper. Turbo bark can be an issue for me, I use the throttle like a switch, and its a 5 speed. I really think my next turbo will be a set of twins that i make.
