Raising the front end
I'd like to raise the front end of my 2011 Laramie. I don't want it quite level. I'd like about 1/2" of rake. I don't want a leveling kit of any kind that preloads the suspension.
I also own a 1999 Toyota Tacoma that has a small lift on it and has what is called a "lift enhancer plate" that is placed above the shock assembly, not preloading the spring.
Looks like this:
It's only 10mm thick (silver plate) but adds an inch lift to the Toyota.
Do these exist in the Dodge diesel world? What are other options to raise the front end a little. I suppose longer springs and shocks are one way. Thanks for any replies.

About the only thing I have seen available is the "leveling" kits. They are all about the same and raise the front 2". They don't preload the springs. Check out ReadyLift or Daystar among many others.

Those are application specific and not available for our trucks. The regular 5100s are an excellent choice if you need to replace your shocks or want a better ride.

can't see how 10mm plate will raise it 1". math don't work in my head but nobody makes a plate like that for our trucks. will have to fab one of your own. if ya do take measurements at the apex of the fender opening before and after and post pics. im curious

Raising the front end
It's because of where the shocks are mounted on the Tacoma and the design of the suspension as to why 10mm will give 1" lift. It has to do with the independent front suspension and the way it pivots.

Raising the front end
Thanks for the info. Note taken: Adjustables are not made for the Dodge 3/4 tons. I think I might go with the longer springs and regular 5100s route. If I do this, will it cause excessive wear on bushings/pivot points, etc?

Can you find "longer" springs that do not give 2"+ lift? I've never seen a lift kit under 2". I suppose springs can be custom made, but that seems like a lot of hassle. Another option is to get the Firestone Level-Rite air bags for the front. I believe the shocks used (integrated bags) are Bilstein. I don't think raising it slightly will cause excessive wear.

I've got a buddy telling me to go with the spring/Bilstein set up in the front, and air bags in the rear to adjust the rake for when I tow trailers with heavy tongue weight. What's your opinion on this MegaCab?

I have rear air bags on my truck. I keep 5 to 10psi in them when not hauling. I definitely recommend them if you tow or haul stuff. Honestly, I think changing springs is pointless if all you want to do is raise it slightly. It is cheaper to get the leveling pucks for under 200. You can then put just enough air in the rear bags to give it that rake when you are not hauling and adjust for when you do haul/tow. Again I've never seen springs that lift less than 2 inches. Rough country has 2" springs for under 200 and 2.5" pucks for under 100. Tuff country has 2" pucks available.
Look into the level-rite kits. It would be easier to achieve what you are after with something like that.

Thuren makes a 2" coil for our trucks, I'd pair those with his overland shocks and an adjustable track bar and call it good. You're looking at around $1,000 for all above mentioned parts. It should still have a pretty good rake to it. I have his 3" coils on my truck and it has the slightest of rake still
