New 2014 or used 2010-12 Ram 3500?

I currently have the 03 Ram 2500 in my signature. Bought a new 5th wheel and looking to upgrade, as I am a little over payload, plus the bigger cab and more power will be nice for the upcoming trip to Ft Wilderness.

I want a one ton long bed 4x4 crew SRW, but not sure on with or without DEF. Also undecided on G56 or 68RFE. If I go new, it will be a trademan with most options like 5" unconnect, backup camera, etc (or possibly a basic SLT). If I go used, it would likely be ST, SLT, or Big Horn

I will be daily driving it and using it for my 39' 12k 5th wheel (plus other smaller trailers and other chores).

Pros of 2014:
higher payload due to newer frame & 18" tires
better stock mpg
more tq if I go with the G56 (vs pre 2013)
nicer interior
warranty

Cons of 2014:
Price
have to add DEF
torque management

I know at least a few other users have looked at this, just looking for input.

Thanks!

2010-2012 aren't very good daily drivers, always in regen around town = crappy fuel mileage (unless deleted). Other than that they are awesome trucks. Seem to be holding their value too, you might be better off spending a few grand more for a new one, especially this time of year as the incentives kick in on the 2014s.
