Doesn't surprise me!!! Maybe Dodge stepped it up with the 2010 and 2011 heavy duty trucks. Cummins as of now from what I've heard doesn't require that Urea stuff that chevy and ford are already using.

There is a 800 ft/lbs 6.7 Cummins in the RV World. So the engine exists but the drivetrain is keeping it out of our trucks. The motorhome will have a 6 speed Allison behind it I'm sure.

Info on the engine is posted in the General Diesel talk section.

The article states that the Ram was not used due to GCWR.

Where’s Ram?

If you were wondering where the Ram 3500 is in all of this, it wasn't included because these weights exceeded its 24,500 maximum GCWR by more than 2,500 pounds. It wouldn’t have been safe or responsible to test the truck in these conditions.

Same old magazine talk. Remember they once bragged about the powerful 6.0 powerstroke that had a higher tow rating then the Dodge LOL They didn't test the truck long enough to find out the engine was a piece of cow dung. 3eally how much better was the 6.4?

Same magazine that bragged about the 04.5 duramax pulling power somehow didn't discover that a full load and 100 degree heat leaves you in limp mode because of a insufficient cooling system

Kind of makes me wonder what the magazine didn't discover on this round of tests.

This article was posted on a Ford forum that I frequent and quite a few posters were pulling their hair out because the Chevy went up the mountain faster. LOL. That's not such a big deal to me, but the exhaust brake issue on the other hand...Ford really needs to work on that.

Not just "faster", but like 25% FASTER! That's embarrassing. I still wish one of you would take your new Dodge out there and try the same test yourself. I gotta' think you'd hang with the Ford.
