Can someone clarify?

I have a 2011 3500 ST on order with the AJY "ST Popular Equipment Group", supposed to ship from Mexico the 1/24/2011, I'm a little excited.

I just saw that Dodge now has the 2011 2500/3500 brochure online:

http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/pdf/2011_ram_2500_3500.pdf

In that PDF is says the AJY group includes keyless entry. I see all sorts of other places where the AJY group does not include keyless as well as many people talking about adding keyless entry to an ST after purchase.

Can anyone confirm that the AJY package does in fact include keyless entry? I ordered keyfobs hoping to add keyless entry per the method quoted in this post:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=273834

If my truck will already have it I will just return those.

Thanks -

Greg

I dont have my paperwork handy to look for the package code, but my 2011 crew 2500 st has regular keys. Also they have removed DODGE from everything except the dashboard. Its not anywhere outside, under the hood, or in any of the manuals. I see confusion coming because in the new full line info Dakotas are now rams, with some of the same model names, so it is now possible to have a RAM DAKOTA LARAMIE. Looks to me like there can not be any online ordering of aftermarket accesories anymore, you will HAVE to call it in so they know what you have.

Dodge has been that way for a while now, starting in 05 I believe. My 06 and 08 trucks did not say Dodge anywhere on them.

I checked with my salesman and hey says my truck will have keyless but I don't believe him. I've known more about the features and specs of just every vehicle I have ever purchased than the sales staff did, which is frustrating.

I'm told my truck is leaving the plant today so I guess I will see in a couple weeks.

on the 2010 ST the keyless entry was not included in the popular equipment group, as a matter of fact you could not even order the keyless entry on an ST.

According to Dodge the keyless entry is included in the 2011 popular equipment group.

Seems I will find out when I get the truck. The salesman says it will have it, Chrysler customer support says it will not, brochure says it will. How is it in this day and age that stuff like this is such a mystery?

Well, I picked up my 2011 3500 ST tonight and no keyless. If keyless is part of the AJY group as stated in the brochure, it is new since my truck was ordered on 12/18/2010. If anyone ends up with keyless from the factory on s 2011 ST I'd sure like to hear about it.

GLB .... just curious, do you even have power door locks ?

When I ordered my 2010 2500 ST I could not even get power door locks. I am looking at adding power door locks.

DJM - Yes, power locks and windows, I believe those are part of the same AJY equipment group.

Mine was not a special order, butI looked quite a while to find a plain truck that was not white. This one is mineral gray, crew cab, short bed. I havepower windows and locks, regular keys, and no carpets. After a couple of months I LOVE IT. It is my daily truck, my bumming around truck is a 46 power wagon w/flatbed. It may someday get a cummins 4bt. Gray might not have been my first choice of color if I had special ordered it, but it is growing on me.......... then again I have had gray growing on me for a few years now.
