I guess I'll know soon ....leaving for Texas Nov 14.
I am curious how you will like the 3.42 gears. 70mph at 1875 RPMS your truck should pull real nice. I had a 06 manual trans with 3.73's and was always looking for 7th gear

I am waiting for the air rear suspension to come out before I order and I want to go back to the manual transmission.

On the 3500 SRW 3.42's are the only gear set you can get with the Aisin I suspect that's why the factory upped the power on the engine. So far my son reports no problem towing with his 2013 other than the traction control. My son and I are both manual trans guys I went with the 68rfe in my 2011 with 3.73's and towing on mild with the mini max about 14,000lbs it often feels like it needs another gear. My sons 2011 G56 was wound right out on the hiway with the 3.73's but that G56 can't take much power and he destroyed it. To me if you are spending that much money on a new truck I would go with the higher power engine that only comes with the Aisin trans. On another note there is no "air suspension" on the 3500's its supposed to be leaf springs with air bags, and so far no one knows how they work so might be another fail like the factory goose/5ver hitch.

The design of the leaf/air suspension looks like a excellent design, but is going to be late availability on the 14's.
I had a 06 with the G56 loved it except for the factory clutch and the OD ratio. I put 22.5's on with lowered my RPM's which made a huge difference. I also had ATS twins , smarty tuner and a TST powermax with a moded CP3 and larger injectors, head studs. I broke 1 transmission (90000 miles). I had 20 1700 pound haybales on a 36 foot flatbed. shifted to 3rd gear hit 60 psi(which is as high as the gauge went) of boost and spun the teath of of 3rd gear. I might add this wasn't the first load either, by this time probably had 20K miles of hay hauling. I had good luck with the G56 I also did a lot of sled pulling with it. Twisted 1 driveshaft with it to.
I do a lot of heavy towing and haven't been impressed with the 68RE, but I will say I haven't had any trouble either.
I test drove a new 14 with the Asian, I just don't see the $$2600 they are asking for it. For $1500 I can put a South Bend DD clutch in front of the G56. Add another grand for a tuner, unless I can update one of my H&S tuners. So really for the same money as a Factory Asian 850tq I can build a G56 better and have a lot more power. And I don't care about warranty, Who can wait a month just to get your truck looked at anyways?

I also can't haul hay with the 68RE because it will overheat because the torque converter wont lock when I'm pulling it across a field

Sure you can use a SB double disc clutch and hydraulics but as or right now there are no delete tuners for the 2013/14 from H&S. Things are kind of up in the air and up here the resale on manual trans trucks seems very poor, son got $16,500 for his 2011 slt crew cab G56 4X4 Sb DD mini max, B&W turn over and a Reese class 5 hitch.

If a guy has a H&S tuner that has the delete option it will work on a 13, but will not on a 14.

I'm not worried about resale value, never been hurt on that yet anyways

I didn't know that, I thought because the 2013 has the DEF that it wouldn't work, my son let his truck go deleted with the mini max as well, too bad but perhaps he can have the one off my 2011 for his 2013 when I get my 2014.

Ya, I was told this from GOS performance, They said forget deleting on the 14's. We were also talking about manual transmission trucks, don't know if it would work on the Asian transmission trucks
