I have been trying for over three weeks to place an order for a 3500, srw with Aisin transmission. Dealer enters it as a sold order but the only way it
will accept the order is if we change it to a dually. Not sure what is going on.

Just found out it's built and sitting waiting for a train ride. This is a whole month earlier than what we originally told. Could be driving it in about 3 weeks. Gonna be a long 3 weeks.

Got it!!!! Picked it up yesterday. Awesome big truck. Almost gotta get on tippy toes to see in the box. My 07 with 373 diff turned near 2200RPM at 70 MPH. This one with 342 only about 1875 RPM. Got me nervous about how it will tow a 40ft 5th. Will know soon.

What does your trailer weigh in at?? I have 342's in my dually.. anything over 10k i wouldnt want to pull unless i could hold it at 2100 rpm. Mind you i have the non HO due to the stick under my right hand.

No airbags.
My trailer is a 40ft cedar creek and loaded about 14,000lbs. I too have the stick. I really am worried that having gone from 3.73 to 3.42 might have been too much of a change. My old 96 had 3.56 and I'm betting that that would have been just right.
I guess I'll know soon ....leaving for Texas Nov 14.
