Cool About to join the '10 club!

Well, it looks like I'm about to change horses from my '04.5 dually to a shiny new '10 crew cab dually ... took a couple of rides and was really impressed with the new creature comforts and the drive train ... even loaded up 525 gallons of water in the bed to compare with the current truck and there's just something easier about the way it pulls away from the fill station! I'm sure that I'll have to dig a little deeper for fuel costs but the easier hauling and toys inside will surely make up for it (I hope)! That and 15k off the msrp helps to persuade a guy a bit too!

5.9 to 6.7

I'm sure you have read all about the differences between them and I was not sure about the 6.7 when I purchased my 07.5 with all the emissions stuff on it, but I have not had any real problems and I really like the way it runs. You will love the decrease in noise from the engine and the exhaust brake! I just traded to a 2010 and agree with you, it has a much better ride and seems much more comfortable all around. Enjoy...

must ask this question, how did you load 525 gallons of water in the bed of the truck? i am thinking a pallet of 40 concrete bags weighing in at 94 lbs per bag.

just curious.

I have a 525 gallon poly water tank for hauling water to the acreage. Water at 10 pounds a gallon is a bit of overload, but they haul no problem.

8 pounds to the light US gallon, 10 pounds to the imperial gallon.

Word on the street I hears is that we'll be Canada Lite in a few years.... Cheers! Now I just gotta learn the intricacies of curling. I love watching it, I just don't understand it all. Actually I just like watching the girls scream "Hard! Hard!", but that's a different thread....

Exactly! That was my #1 reason for moving from Poway last August after living in SD for 19 years.

But I hate this place too..... Time for N. Idaho, or Missoula.

poway is ok but hot as all get up in august. no humidity like you probably have in oklahoma. i lived in southern idaho for two years and loved it but alas, i digress. don't mean to hijack this thread and to get back to the thread i am joining the '11 club.

special ordered my '11 month and a half ago and *******, er, dealer tells me it will be delivered the 16th. so, after dealer prep i hope to drive it off the lot on the 16th or 17th at latest.
