2010 CTD Reg Cab 4x4
Hello everyone.
Here is the scoop.
I just went to dealership and checked out a 2010 Diesel Reg Cab 4x4 with an MSRP of 44,305 (Alloy wheels, Luxury Pkg, brake contoller, plow prep, auto, SLT).
Basically, they offered me 23000 (on a 08 Jeep wrangler X) which is worth about 19-20000 at most other dealers that I've talked to.
Then they offered an additional 5000 off the truck, AND 2000 worth of rebates (which was 1000, plus 500 military, plus 500 certificate from the dealer).
I owe 30000 on the Jeep still. Being that I'm about 7000 upside down, would I be an idiot to pass up a deal at this truck 46800 OTD with GAP coverage included? That was basically offering the truck at MSRP plus taxes on the difference. On top of that, I'm being offered 5.3 APR for 84 months at 669 per month. They claim to be losing money. I kind of believe it since these things have only been out for less than 2 months.
So the question. Deal or no deal? Is a better deal even remotely possible?

other than the term of the debt I'd jump all over that deal if you can get by with a single cab for 7 years, just because it's a CTD
they've got a little less than $40k in the truck before dealer hold back
where's that dealer located

Have you called other dealerships to compare price? That seems like a lot compared to what my buddy just paid for a CC LB 3500 SRW at Dave Smith in Idaho.
Give Dave Smith a call, they will make you a good deal.. They are the #1 Dodge dealer in the country for a reason.

I was at other dealers, and they weren't doing this good on 09 models. Mainly because they wouldn't give me good money on the trade in.
At this point, I do believe I can replicate a great deal like this again in the future. So that being said, the 2010 CTD that deserves to be in my driveway right now is going to have to wait a while.
Mainly because I just want to enjoy my Jeep for a bit longer and see if other deals will become better.

I was going to get a truck at Dave Smith Motors (they told me they would not lose a truck to numbers...and they were right) but the dealership 300 miles away from meet beat there price by quite a bit. So if anyone is looking at getting a truck and i can point you in the right direction just Message me!...i wasn't disappointed.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I ended up with a Crew Cab instead and paid even less for it than the Reg cab was going to cost. Just shopped around for the past week and it ended up saving me 800 bucks more!

Really, do yourself a favor and give Dave Smith a call. I bought both of my trucks from them during their Labor Day sale in 2008 and the deal they made me for both was too crazy to pass up.

53,000 for 2010 3500 mega laramie, 72 months 1.3% taxes , title out the door with shipping, got the first one in the country, had it shipped to jersey from texas. had to screw around with them a bit to get the price that low, original deal ended up being 65,000 but worth the hassel to call around, it saved me 10,000 and a cheaper % rate
