Question Help with deletes?!

I just bought a 2011, 4500. I do not want to put a programmer on the truck, but I would like to delete the exhaust. I've heard about putting Sims on the plugs to fool the comp. Where can I find those? What other things can I delete and put back together if I ever need to take to dealer. My dealer doesn't mind me taking off emmisions stuff, I just can't mess with the computer of the truck. So what all can I do and how, and where can I get parts? Thank you very much.

About all you can do without putting a programmer on.

That page just shows the Sims for dpf, can't unplug egr and gain the mileage like some are? If I take dpf off, can I unplug the urea like I've seen somewhere on here? Was wanting to take the butterfly out of the throttle valve. So it says putting in the simms will stop it from regen. That's what I want right? Thank you.

What is ohm? It says to select if it's 100 or 330 ohm when ordering. I'm guessing they sell a direct replacement pipe for the dpf too?

Ohm is a measurment of resistance.

100 ohm will not cause a check engine light but will still allow for regens. 330 ohm will cause a check engine light but will not allow regen.

Both used together sends a secret invitation to the White House for a dinner invitation to Tops bestest buddy Ohmbama

Well I'm guessing to keep engine clean and overall better for the truck is to use the 330, and go to auto zone and have them clear the CEL with their scanner? What would you opt for? What about the egr, can I unplug and delete the butterfly on an 11 ?

Well you could have em clear it, but its a recurring CEL. It will show each time you run the truck.

You could unplug the EGR. Yet another CEL, but you will have one for the sims already.

With no programmer, leave the throttle valve alone.

If you absolutely cannot put a programmer then go with the 330's and EGR unplug.

However, Id just put a Smarty JR or an H&S (right now Im partial to H&S) and delete the DPF and play dumb if something happens.

50k dollar truck, really don't want to void the warranty lol. I'm gonna talk to the dealer about it. I've heard of some getting by with it. Why leave the throttle valve alone? Wouldn't I want to take the butterfly out so no problems of accidentally closing? on that website, I can buy the pipe for for delete right? I'll order everything tmrw, wanna make sure I get all I need. Thanks for the info!

Unless you have a programmer to shut off the EGR functions you need the throttle valve functioning.

You can get everything you need on rollinsmokediesel.com

or right here at the DTR store.

Sorry I sound like I'm beating this to death, but I'm just trying to fully understand. If I buy the simms to turn of the revenue off, wouldn't I want the throttle valve always open? Or if I unplug the egr, then I could take the butterfly out? Or no way whatsoever unless a programmer?

OK I found the right dpf delete pipe for the cab and chassis. I guess the dpf and cat are kinda combined in one. Looks like all will be fine under the truck except on the dpf, besides the electronic sensors, there's like those little tubes that I guess exhaust goes in for something. How will those effect the delete, what do I do with them? My nox filter is after the urea injection, I read somewhere on here about unplugging the harness on the urea pump, will that make the truck not function if I did that?

You may want to try the throttle valve unplug. Your truck will let you know real quick if it aint happy.

I always figured that it would cause issues, but, never ran it without a programmer myself.

Sounds like your on the right track anyway.

Good luck.
