Exhaust brake shuts off at 20mph
#3
Its RPM dependent, not speed driven. Increase your RPMs by downshifting manually. Like Sparky :-) said, use the tow/haul if you want it more aggressive. Running around town I keep both turned on, even when not towing.
It would be nice if the tranny was as aggressive for regular driving and still up shift into 6th. when you get out of stop and go traffic.

Not recommended to be on when its icy out, we took a little ride the other day that became real interesting when the exhaust brake engaged.... The brake is not engaged under 1200 RPM, so down shifting is the only way to keep it engaged..

I doubt the truck goes 20 mph @ 1200 rpm in 1st gear. I would be willing to bet the ebrake doesn't come on in 1st gear at all....so it shuts off
@ 1200rpm in 2nd gear when it's time to downshift into 1st.
In any case, anyone figure a way to manipulate it? I have an H&S tuner without the transmission software.......does H&S do it through their trans software?
