Auxillary Switches Installed (pictures)
I finally got around to doing a little project on the truck today. I've been thinking of where I wanted to install switches for all my goodies for awhile now and came across a thread about the factory auxiliary switches available on the cab/chassis trucks. I ordered them from the dealership yesterday and I must say, I like them. Tearing the dash apart wasn't too bad and wiring was pretty simple after I found a pin out of the switch on here from an old post. The lights on the buttons light up when on, they switch on my relays properly, and they work when the truck is off. As is the way it always goes, I forgot to take pictures until half way through so no step by step write up but if anyone wants some advice or help feel free to message me. Also if you are going to do this, the switches send out a ground, not a +12v like one would assume of a switch.

As of right now, the switches only run my big LED light bar on the front bumper. Switch 2 will be wired out to my headache rack for some big loading/backup lights, switch 3 will be a 2000 watt inverter down the road, switch 4 will be a high idle. I have decided today the project will be making a circuit to high idle a 4th gen manual. I'm not stopping today until I figure it out. I've been researching for months now and have a solid plan.

Can you snap a picture for me so i can see how it fits?

The LED bar is awesome. I have it switched with my high beams and it is way more than enough light. I mounted it down low on my front bumper against what some folks recommended. I was told higher is better to get more light on the road rather than reflected but like I said, way bright. Its way too bright for snow storms and such because it just blinds you but clear driving or rain its my new favorite accessory. I will try to round up a picture and a link to the one I went with.

Those pictures really don't do it justice, as a comparison, the headlights are 55 watt HID's and very bright. You can see how bright the bar is beside them.

I would try to weather proof the relay's and do use heat shrink. I been thru a few self induced electric gremlins over the years.
Did you use one relay for low beam and one for hi-beam HID's?
Which led bar you go with? I want to run smaller bars two on my 02, as I do tons of back country gravel drivin. I run front/rear ARB's and air compressor system on the 02.
