Oil change in 2300 KMs?

Is it reasonable that I should have to change the oil after just 2300kms??

One of the selling features was the 12000kms between oil changes. I have 27000kms on the truck and this will be my 5th oil change. gets pretty pricey....

What happens if I don't change it and reset the EVIC?

My son was getting oil change intervals with that distance or less, he was running Amsoil and it was like water from fuel dilution and blacker than I have ever seen EVER. I don't know if you saw this thread but I would bet your truck is already similar. Since he did his deletes and last oil change it's over 5000km and his oil is in beautiful condition and very clean. It will take a couple more changes to get all the dirty oil out but I couldn't believe how clean it was now. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...e-t298909.html

I'd love to delete, however, I use the truck to plow and sand parking lots, so, I don't want to compromise warranty.
Maybe that (plowing) is what is accelerating the oil change intervals?

YES, the more load that truck is under the more often it goes into regen. Plus, plowing is much worse than idle which is also killing these trucks. I recommend you install the By-Pass filtration system. That will help a little bit, but, once its clogged up you are stuck with an oil change.

Maybe I should keep the oil from my 1993 Cummins after I change it and put it in the 2011. It looks as good coming out as it did going in 12,000 kms ago.

I used to so enjoy the color green......now I cringe every time I hear the word. You just KNOW how its going to be used and you know you are going to suffer from it.

Some buddies and I were sitting around the table enjoying a cup of coffee and a chat. The subject of the "green movement" came up. A couple of them were amazed when I referenced the foundation of the movement being from witchcraft, wiccans (sp) specifically. Worship of the earth. That’s why people who publicly oppose them are met with such vicious attacks – they are challenging their religion. Look at how anyone who dares to say that “climate change” is a normal and natural event are berated by the hippie LEFTovers. The flower children insist that man is the cause, to the point of violence. (ref. the burning of entire construction developments, riots, spiking of trees, etc.)

Lest you think that this is just another harmless fad – look at how our children are being indoctrinated in school with all this nonsense. Talk to a young kid about it sometime, you will be amazed. As for harmless – a bit over two thousand years ago, a certain 32 year old Jewish carpenter challenged the religious leaders about their dogmatisms.

So... let me get this straight... having to change the oil after 1429 miles (2300km) is good for the environment how?

They used to use oil based paints for road lines that lasted forever. Now the hippies have outlawed that and they have to use water based paints... wear off in no time. I wonder how many vehicle accidents can be attributed to poor/non existent road markings? Lots of car crashes and people dieing is good for the environment how?

These are the same turds that always are telling us that we need to be tolerant of others.... except that they are very intolerant of anyone who doesn't think like they do.
