Wiring Diagragm for 7-Pin Trailer Plug
Does anyone know what the wire codes are for the 7-Pin Connector? They are not the standard colors used in the RV world so if anyone has a schematic I would appreciate it.

In addition, when you order the truck with the towing package is there supposed to be an adaptor that connects to the brake controller plug under the dash included? I have the Blue Terminal Block near the E-Brake but no plug (adaptor) that came with the truck.

A legend for what the wire color codes are would be helpful. Do you happen to know which pins those connect to on the 7-Pin in reference to the normal colors on the trailer 7-Pin side?

Here is the wiring color code chart from the manual. I do not know exactly what the matching colors are. But looking at the 7 pin cover shows what each pin is, then matching function and color will tell what each wire color is for going into the connector. I dont have 7 pin trailer wiring, so I just use the 4pin underneath for my small trailers.

My buddy at work did the very same mod as shown in the aforementioned link. He has a 04.5 duelly, tows a fifth wheel and the harness draped over the tail gate.
If you need more info on 3rd gen wiring check out this link http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/
Complete diagrams plus other good stuff about our trucks.
PDF file format, the whole thing can be downloaded but you will need a high speed connection like dsl or cable 'cause it is BIG. 80mb
If you download be sure to download both the Body Builders Guide and the Ram Wiring Diagrams.
Just checked, looks like they dropped off the 2003 trucks and added the 2006's.

sky -- yes there should be an adapter either in the glove box or under the back seat. If not go to any rv dealer and they will have the harness(adapter) for dodge truck that will plug directly into the blue plug under dash.
ps checked with your dealer first to see if they will give you one( don't hold your breath tough )
