Window Tint Scratching

Window Tint Scratching
I just installed new window strips from the gen2(Velvet Lined) Ram part number 55134598 on to my doors with some minor modification and my windows now roll up without that dreaded draging of grit sound. And no more tint scratcing. And I will forward my purchase price to my dealer for reimbursement under my warranty since they could not find a fix for my problem.

Thats MR Hoss to you buddy!
Re:Window Tint Scratching
One question about that because we've discussed this on here before. The velvet strip goes on the OUTSIDE of the window. How does that affect the window tint?? I've been watching my tint for any scratches but have not seen any. That "dreading draging of grit sound" is on the outside....the tint is one the inside. ???

Re:Window Tint Scratching
The windows should have a velvet lined strip on the inside and the outside. Take a look and see what you have. I had velvet outside but only a hard rubber strip on the inside which was trapping grit and etching my film. Hence the reason for the 2002 2500/3500 window strips.
