Not a good angle but mine are 20. With law enforcement I think its going to depend more on where you live than anything, and Ive always had 20 on every truck ive owned with no problems.

5% all the way around. I like it but some don't. Cops don't really bother people around here about it too bad. First pic is w/ the back window open and the second is with the back window closed. Pics taken about 5 seconds apart. You need to open up your rear window to see what's behind you at night, and I have auxillary backup lights.

If you are comfortable doing it yourself, or you have some friends that know how to do tint pretty good, you can order it pre-cut off of ebay. A seller in Virginia Beach, VA, sold me my tint, all windows, pre cut, for $40 shipped. They can do front windows only, and it is something like $20 shipped. The tint is good quality, just make sure you dont do it in direct sunlight mine tore in a couple of places when the soap mixture we used dried too quickly.

Most places will have you sign a waiver to do less than legal tint here in MN. I've had a few cars done at 20% and I've never had a problem. Drive to MN.

Here in Canada it is illegal to put any tint on your front windows,, that being said I have experimented with many different shades, I have 35% on my truck it looks much darker than it is, as long as the other windows are dark. I dont like to go to dark, cause it sucks to see out of them at night.

I'm also about to do this and was wondering the same thing. I'm leaning toward the 20% if I can get a shop to do it. Glad some of ya'll posted picts, keep em coming.
With darker than legal tint, it is all about being smart when you get pulled over. Turn on your interior lights and roll the windows down and they typically won't mess with you. Its when they feel threatened of not knowing whats on the other side of that glass that you start running into problems. In Alabama we don't have inspections so it isn't a huge concern.

I have got 20% on my truck to match the rear and love it. My last truck had 20% on it too and I never had a problem from the police. They really only bother you I think if the windows are really dark. General rule, if you get pulled over, roll down both windows. It all goes back to the reason why you are tinting you windows.
