The shop that did my early build 2003 popped off the window track and told me that it would scratch, It was rubber( stated that debris would stick to it and eventually cause it to scratch) they called dodge for me and got me 4 new trim pieces that were felt, they left the trim pieces out after the install and I re-installed with the new ones when received from dodge, I think there was a TSB on it but not sure. No scratches with heavy window usage in almost a year now. The shop is reputed to be the best in town.

Thats MR Hoss to you buddy!
I've had tint on my early '03 since the week after I bought it and it hasn't scratched at all. I like to ride with my windows down so they're going up and down all the time. I don't know if I have felt, rubber or something else but I've never had a problem.

Hey been tint'en windows for year's (10+) ain't never had a complaint bout scratchin' All my windows are tinted!!! By me! Just use some common sense! Dont buy the cheap stuff!!!! Check out my gallery!!!

Had mine tinted the day I bought it. 5% all the way around (even the camper shell). 5% and the factory tint makes something like 1%? Never had a problem with scratching. You cannot see in at all. I know.... it's not legal. But it is nice knowing that no one else knows what’s in the truck. It looks cool also.
