Wind & Road Noise
I know there is a TSB for new door seals, but I honestly don't want o go to the dealer. I think half of the time they don't have a clue when it comes to mechanizing of course neither do I but i got some shade tree experience I have heard of people loosening the bracket where the door catches when closed and bumping it in a bit. Does it work? What size bit do i need to be able to do it? Or would I be better off to go to the dealer.

The door seals are $38 for the pair and take 2 minutes to install, with no tools.. but the 06 should have the new door seals...
Honestly I don't think the road noise is bad.. at least the motor makes more noise than the air.

Maybe I'm crazy or just an old school truck kinda person, but I like a somewhat bumpy ride, and some wind noise, maybe even throw in some tire hum also, and most definitely love a loud diesel engine. These are "trucks" after all aren't they?
Sorry couldn't answer your question.....One thing I can say, is if you are handy, try and do it yourself, some (not all) of the dealer techs don't care and or don't know about these trucks and how they tick....

DC makes these trucks special to give you wind noise for no extra charge. I have been over this wind noise thing. Only use the AC on recycle inside air. Don't drive over 70 mph. Turn the radio way up. Avoid windy days. Remove the ring in the turbo so it scremes. Silicone shut the door that has wind noise and use the other one. If none of this works take it to a good body shop and have the doors alligned as good as possible,,,,, good luck,,, hay, it's better than a soft top Jeep.
