Awhile back I read it could be done easily but the Chrysler camera unit was very expensive. I ended up just getting the $100 complete wireless system and mounting the screen on my A-Pillar. I have the camera pointed directly at my towball and I never have to get out and check how close I am to the trailer tongue anymore.........

a quote from this site:

Mopar has started to produce the REC navigation unit (the one that comes in the 06 and 07) with a back-up camera input. This feature is currently only offered on the Jeep line up. There have been people that have tried to tap into the input, but seeing how smart our cars are, they know they are not in a Jeep and therefore will not allow the input to be utilized.
There is a company called TvandNav2go that you ship them your Nav unit and they will solder input wires on and then send it back. It is one way to get a back up camera input on the nav screen but not cheap either.

Just called TvandNav2go, $450 to upgrade, get my NAV system back with a small box (cigarette size) wired to it that accepts video inputs. For another $195, I can get a backup camera too!

a camera is $150 from cructhfield, comes free with a new Nav unit.
$495 is half the price of a aftermarket DVD/NAV/Ipod/bluetooth multimedia system.
at $495, that's a ripoff.
