Who is telling the truth?

Who is telling the truth?
I am going to order my truck tomorrow. I have contacted two dealers. One said that Dodge will lock in the price at order and the other said they would not. I know we have talk about this before but he said I can have it in writing and the price is invoice plus $58.00. He also comes highly recommended. Am I falling for something or is he telling the truth?

Re:Who is telling the truth?
Just get the deal in writing is all I can say, I'm finding out that if you are a farmer, or baker, or candlestick maker you can get incentives, and tax write offs etc. Basically don't listen to ******* BS, get it down in ink, or you can kiss the deal in the end bye bye Myop.

I got mine locked in when I ordered mine back in Sept. Plus I was told that I'd get whatever rebates/incentives that might come about between the time I ordered it and the time it arrived (and I did). That was my dealer and their deal, I can't say one way or another about another dealer and their deals.

Re:Who is telling the truth?
You can get whatever price u negotiate now, MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE SALES MANAGER APPROVE THE DEAL. As far as financing and incenttives its usually whats there when the truck comes in.

My price was locked in at $100 over invoice when I ordered. I also received the $1000 November incentive. I think some dealers offer a 'floating' invoice price to pocket a little extra money . Just my opinion.

Re:Who is telling the truth?
If you have a signed buyers order and have put a deposit on the order, you are price protected when the vehicle comes in. You are also entitled to any factory incentives at the time of write-up provided you take delivery within five days of the ordered unit landing on the lot.

If a better incentive comes along however you are automatically eligible for that in lieu of the previous lesser incentive.

Hope this helps!

Mike
Mike,

Thank you. I have that exact deal you discribed. I talked to several dealers that would not give me that deal but in the end one did give me the protection. He said GM would not do the same thing (they sell both).

Re:Who is telling the truth?
I paid invoice price at the time the order was placed and not the invoice price when the truck came in three months later. The actual invoice had increased appx. $400.00 since the time the order was placed. ;D

The dealer I bought from said that would not happen with him. I did put it in writting so we will see what happens. It looks like it will be tree or four weeks more.

Re:Who is telling the truth?
I just ordered my 2500 and I was locked in for the $1,000 rebate, and just as Mike explained I will receive the better of what is available in the line of rebates between now and time of delivery, never less than the original $1,000 at the time of order. I have worked with my small town dealer for the past 35 years and trust him 100%, no exchange of money on the order, just a good old fashion hand shake.

Re:Who is telling the truth?
There have been numerous posts in rgards to the incetives on this site. According to DC customer service you are eligible only for incentives that are valid when you take delivery and not what was in effect when you ordered. I missed out on the Holiday $500 bonus by four days. Hopefully DC will increase the cash back incentive by the time you take delivery.

Re:Who is telling the truth?
If you have the right dealer they will lock in the incentives. The Christmas money was a different deal. My dealer couldn't lock that in. We will see what happens when I show up for my truck
