No clearance problems with anything at all. After driving mine and trying someone else's truck the shifter feels too far away.
Another thing I forgot to mention, you can rotate the shaft to get the angle you want then tighten down and loctite the bolt. To get at the base just pull gently away on the base of the boot and it comes free, then it's a simple swapout.
