Next to a pair of vise grips and a roll of duct tape
btw - vise grips, duct tape... then comes wd40
I will see if PBBlaster is superior...

after that comes what? Something that cuts would be my vote - even those $1 snap off knives do great, then JB Weld? after that the sockets and nut/screw driver get most everything done.
Then wire cutters and bailing wire? what next?

I'm asking 'cause there's only so much room under the back seat after the reciever hitches and snow scraper and I want to know if I've got the right stuff back there.

Even if the BFH doesn't work, at least you got your frustrations out for the week/month. Or in extreme cases.. day!!!! Swinging a BFH can ease your stress levels!!!!!!! Just use your imagination!

Yep, i've had the same problem with the rear wheels being difficult to remove. Like others, I simply loosen the lugs a bit and go for a drive up and down the street.

I tried again yesterday. PBBlaster and BFH approach.
Would not budge.... I almost went out on the street with loose lugs but decided against it.

Just back from a tire shop. The wheel I'd worked on the most came off with two whacks from a BFH. The other one took a bit more. They soaked it with PB Blaster and beat on it a bit. The advantage to a lift is that you are working higher and the rear wheels can rotate as you hit them. Off in about 5 minutes. Worth the $27 they clipped me for.

On my semi & trailer I have aluminum wheels & there is a thin plastic spacer that goes between the drums & wheels. Also another spacer between wheels for duals. This spacer is paper thin but keeps electrolisis from welding the wheels to the drums or each other. I don't know if they make them for non comercial size tires or not, but you might check with a tire store.

Well did you get the wheels off or what?? I figure with all that stuff under your seat now you added magnetic signs to the truck for your mobile aluminum to steel wheel removal business unless you didnt get them off yet and already went bankrupt.

they're off and rotated.
put the hub covers back this morning before I went to work.

I like the idea of a plastic spacer. I will probably pull them again in the next 90 days and do something. I had the tire shop spray them with PB Blaster. The can says it inhibits galvanic action on alloy rims.

Live and learn.
