Part of the truck lights are on fuses, part on breakers. Same with trailer lights. I went with 15 amp fuses for all lights except running lights which have 20 amp fuse because some of the trailers have so many. I talked to the RV dealers tech that installed my 5er hitch he said that would probably be ok. He also told me that the magnets on the trailer breaks pull 3 amps max, so that is 6 amps per axle plus you want to add a couple of amps for wiring. I usually have a 2 axle trailer plus 2 or 3 amps for wire should be a 15 amp fuse for trailer brakes. But the TIPM has a 40 amp fuse for trailer brakes so I figured a 20 amp fuse would probably be good enough. If you have a trailer with LED's you could go with lower amperage fuses.

If you made that where If could be put inline on a trailer, that would sell.
Hell, I would buy one.

Mark, .....I like your fix! You can move it from truck to truck. Couldn't a guy do the same thing under the truck between the 7pin and the truck wireing? and to keep it simple just protect the circut breaker systems with a small sealed inline fuse/juction box?

Yeah, I hear ya. Looked everywhere nobody is making anything like this. Even if you didn't have the problems the '06's are having it is still a good idea.
