What's that smell??

I had to use the heat this weekend, and noticed a funky **** smell comming from the vents. Later on in the same weekend, I had to use the AC, and had a similar funky **** smell. I hadn't used the AC in a couple of weeks, and don't remember smelling anything all summer. My fan runs all the time, but I hadn't used the AC for a while, or turned the temp control past about half ever.

Thoughts?

I have used it, and I think I used it for the first time in the last week or so. How do you get rid of the smell, if that is it?

i haven't a clue...? i have heard there is a deoderizer scent thing you can pour into the washer fluid so it doesn't smell so bad [makes it smell like pine or lemon] but i can't find it anywhere...

I heard somewhere that the smell is from some kind of mold in the system.
Iv gotten the same type of smell in the truck I use at work and found that if I spray Simple Green into the air inlet that the smell is gone.
