What snowplow doesn't require cutting the bumper?

I have a 2004.5 quad cab cummings and do not want to cut the front of the bumper. Is there a plow that doesnt require that? I can only afford a used setup and will probably build my own frame mount out of what ever comes with the plow I buy. Any suggestions? There seems to be a ton of Chevy plow setups out there for sale. I am hoping on getting away with just buying a new wiring harness.

I know for sure there is no cutting of anything with a Western Ultramount, but you won't find one cheap..... Actually, I don't think any of them require cutting anymore, just the real old units that you mountes the powerhead between the truck and bumper.

The Curtis mount requires only trimming the air dam slightly if your truck has one ... I have one laying around actually off my '04. They are cheap to replace anyhow ... or you could just remove it ... definitely no bumper cutting. I know I could also find you a Curtis mount for your year truck (my old one) ... find someone who installs plows in your area and he'll likely have all kinds of used plow mounts. Not worth making your own if you can find a used one from a dealer. Alot of engineering goes into them so they won't hurt your truck when you bang into something ... and you will. And they're not that expensive ... a few hundred bucks

So the air dam needs to be cut on all of them?

How much is a air dam?

I took the airdam off my 04.5 when my 8" Pro Plus Western was installed. Air dam just collects dust now in my garage.

With the Curtis you have to trim about an inch out of the bottom of the air dam ... the width of the mount. I don't care for the look with the air dam removed. They only cost about $50 brand new if you ever needed to replace it. Obviously the mount stays on the truck for good and the way mine is done you can hardly tell it's there in the summer ... actually looks pretty good compared to most mounts. There's a pic here on a Ford without the air dam ... looks much better with the air dam on and notched. Actually if you check my gallery there's a pic of my mount on my truck ... before the levelling kit. Also because of the Laramie fascia I had to modify the mount to protrude about 2 inches further out to avoid cutting the fascia ... so with the SLT style bumper it will be tucked in that much more ... very clean looking for summer time.
