What size tires ??

I am looking at buying some wheels for my truck. They are 17x9's. What size tires would be good to use with them? I do ALOT of highway driving and want something to go along with the wider, tough truck look, but also something that won't make alot of road noise. Any ideas? Here are the wheels I am thinking about

you do know that they will stick out like a motha

but if you do not care bout that you can get some 285s and set it off pretty nicely

I am going to try the goodyears next time if i go with a mild tire pretty cheap on tire rack revos are nice too

The guy said about 2.5" more than stock. Would 17x8 be better or 17x8.5?

if no get some 285 70 in just about any tire out there and get the 8inch wide

I'd stay at 295 or smaller... for quiet and highway mpg... and front end longevity...

I just added Nitto 285's and they look just right on a megacab, not too small like stock but not too large. Tried the BFG A/Ts, but they shook the truck and vibrated too much...my third bad set of BFG...and last!

I just got a set of Michelin LTX AT/2s in 285/70/17 and they're on my stock rims. These tires are similar to the stock Michelins, but a little more aggressive. They're not as aggressive as the BFG AT's.

Here's more info on them: http://michelinman.com/ltx-at2/

Note: They're D rated, not available in E for the 285's.

Ditto. I like the Toyo/AT's I'm running. They're really quiet, just like the factory stock tires, and look to be wearing well too. I'll be putting this same tire on when the current ones wear out except I intend to get them e-rated next time.
