Warn Winch Bumper
[/IMG]
I had originally ordered a Road Armor bumper but got tired of the delays. The Warn bumper arrived in a week and went on without a hitch (literally). The lights are Procomp H55 driving lights hooked up to the stock wiring harness. Now all I have to do is get a winch. Any suggestions?

my road armour bumper took forever also but it did'nt seem so bad when they comped me the two sets of piaa lights ($450 saved!). i've had good luck with my mile marker 12,000 lb winch and you can get a smokin' deal on them at 4 wheel parts.

looks good, is the powder coat flat black?
warn 16.5ti, go big and do it once, lol.
In all reality it depends on how much you think you will use the winch. The only bad things I have heard about the tabor is the line speed.
I use the winch on the jeep almost every time I go off roading. Not typically for me, but to pull out others. The mile marker is slow, some times is seems like it is not even pulling. It can feel frustrating, but gets the job done.
I have not used the winch in the truck yet. Changed my off roading trips.
I will say if you plan on using it allot, change out to synth cable. I put it on the Jeep and it makes winching a simple "safe" event.

Scotty,
The bumper cost me $1800, more than I wanted to spend but the insurance helped with it. I could have gotten the Road Armor for $1400 from 4 Wheel Parts but after 6 weeks I gave up on them. They switched the order to the Warn and I had it in a week. I was real tired of looking at my taco'd stock bumper.
The powder coat is a dark gray and has a slight gloss to it, it cleans easily and is as tough as nails.
Thanks to all on the winch advice. I was wondering about the Mile Marker - they're awful cheap but I've been bit in the a** by that before. I'll probably go with a synthetic line for safety. I've never owned a winch so any advice is helpful. The truck doesn't get wheeled heavily but I'll use it to pull my FJ40 out of the mud and for pulling logs up the hill for firewood.
Any info on Superwinch or T-max?

my mile marker 12,000 lb is 1 1/2 years old and no problems so far. the advise i've been given for years is that if you use your winch often, bite the $$$ bullet and shell out for a warn. if you only use your winch occasionally (infrequent off roading, stuck in snow, wife stuck in snow, friends and neighbors stuck in snow, etc.) go with the name brand winch that's the best deal. next to warn, mile marker is the most common winch i see out in the woods and on the trails in this area.

Fire, how much does that bumper stick out more than the stock one you think? How much does it weigh?
It's a tight fit getting my truck into the shop, I need every inch I can get...
(but don't we all?)
