Compared to Chevy and Ford, the Dodge Ram is a flat out pukified piece of dog excrement.

When I get my monies worth out of this sorry investment, I'll will never ever set foot on another Dodge Dealership again.

Hate to rain on the parade here, but I know there are also millions of other people out there that have bought a Dodge Ram and regretted it soon after. Just drive by your local Chevy and Ford Dealerships and look at the many many many low mileage Dodge Rams they have sitting in thier used car lot.

Soon I'll be one of those millions of other truck owners that will be embarrassed to admit "Yeah, I owned a Dodge Ram once - - - ONCE WAS ALL I COULD STAND".

OK, I ranted - - Back to your sad thread.........................
You are really funny. I can see you tap-tapping away at your keyboard furiously, squinting at the monitor over top of your wire rim glasses mumbling something like "Ill show those Dodge guys".

Admit it man. You dream of owning Dodge trucks. You probably have a ford fiesta in the driveway and a f-150 on blocks in the street. You are just jealous. NO SMILEYS!!

Hey Dan, I'm with you. My 2005 Dodge is without a doubt the finest truck I have ever owned! I have owned trucks from all three of the major manufacturers and I will always believe the Dodge is the best truck. I had two old pickup trucks with the slant six motors and boy they were work horses. I also owned a '69 with a 383/standard. It had its picture in Hemmings Motor News one time. Traede it for a 1953 John Deere Model 40 tractor but thats another story. Like someone else said "Mopar or no car!". Ed B

Love my Dodge, would buy again in a minute.

Sorry to see you are so unhappy, Brisco, why not just sell it and buy a real truck. Folks over at the Ford forum will love you.

Brisco you said in another thread that you had put 170,000 miles on that truck and it HAD NEVER BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER. That is quite an accomplishment for any make of vehicle. I dare you to go buy a Ferd or a Chebby and make the same claim 170,000 miles from now with it. (if you can even get that many miles out of it)
Now now now, I wasn't trying to start crap here. Just airin' my thoughts about the one and only Dodge I'll ever own.

I am allowed to do that, aint I???

Yes, my 2004 CUMMINS H.O. wrapped in dog poop has 170K already, and No, it has never been in the shop for anything major. Fluids and filters baby, fluids and filters!! Know what I mean Vern....................

Someone told me that if I hated it this much, why don't I sell it?? I'll say it again, GAWD HAVE I TRYED!!!! These turds have NO RE-SELL value whatsoever. I even had a sales manager at a major Dodge dealership here in the metroplex straight out tell me that he doesn't want any used Dodges in on trade, they're hard to get rid of. (Hey Texas! HUFFINES DODGE - LEWISVILLE!) Some of the dealerships tell their customers that these are now million mile motors, but when I asked why my truck had no value to it in their eyes when less than 20% of those miles are used up, they had no answer.

High mileage on Ford and Chevys you ask?

I have a '94 extended cab Z-71, V8 Auto that I bought new. Still have it today with 468,000 miles on it. The motor and tranny has never never been dug into. 3 starters and 2 alternators is all I have done in 12 years. Lots and lots of fluids and filters though! Oh yeah, tires too!

My 2002 Silverado had 139,000 on it when I traded it in on this turd. Got a couple of grand above trade in value for it. At a DODGE DEALERSHIP at that. Hmmmm.......makes ya think.

Guess I just got caught up in that "Grab Life By the Horns" bullspizm when I bought this. AND, in my opinion, the Duramaxes were a little pricey. Also guess I learned my lesson. It's the quality of the "Truck" that you're paying for when you buy a Silverado, not neccesarily what's under the hood.

THE perfect truck - A Quad Cab Silverado 3500 Dually with a Cummins.

It's just really sad that such a perfect motor only comes in a generic low class truck. If it wasn't for Cummins, Dodge wouldn't have a truck to offer whatsoever.

Last, but not least..........

I have owned 2 Ford Diesels in the past, they were wreckers for my business. Yes I was happy with them, just will not buy a Ford as a personal vehicle.

No, I have never owned a Fiesta. Have had 6-7 Escorts and Focuses as delivery vehicles. Good little cars, but after spending 2 nights in the hospital due to a Dum-ask drunk driver while I was driving my 2001 Wagon (see gallery), I have not driven anything smaller than a full size truck since.

I do not wear glasses, and I am not pounding away as I post. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty cool headed. Just don't like Dodge Trucks, they are worthless investments.

AND!!! Call me DemoDumass again, we gonna fight, got it!!!

Brisco,

They won't give you much for your truck at the dealer because it has 170,000 miles on it. It wouldn't matter if it was a Ferd or Chebby or a "dog poo" Dodge. Dealers want low mileage cream puffs to put on their used truck lots, especially here in the city. Another reason they won't give you much for your particular truck is because it is a REGULAR CAB 2 wheel drive. They are just not as popular as quad cab 4x4s in any make, so they take longer to resell.

I just find it ironic and funny that you blast how bad your truck is and how much you hate Dodge, yet you tell us it has never had a major problem or breakdown in 170,000 miles.

Good luck in your next "investment" in chebby. Maybe you will HATE it just as much after 170,000 trouble free miles.

Personally, I have owned all 3. My current Dodge is the best one I have owned.

Brisco, you have to hurry out and buy one of those Ford 6.0's since they are selling so well, put 170,000 mi's on it and then go to the used market to take the beating of your life. Ford dealers don't want them even with low milage. By the way, keep a wrecker near by to haul you to the local Ford dealer for repairs, the first time will be long before 170,000mi.

YOU SAID
These turds have NO RE-SELL value whatsoever.

I SAY
I beg to differ.
I traded a 91 LE 3/4 5 speed 221,000 miles last year into a dealership. I paid 5,000 for it 4 years before that with 120,000 on it. Drove it for those years and put 1,200 in it - brakes, drums, rotors, seals, ujoints ect. THEY GAVE ME $4,300 for a 14 year old truck(sold a little over 22,000 in 91) with 221,000 miles on it. I had already dealt 4,000 off the truck I was buying so I figured they really had around 3,500 in the offer for my used truck.

I gave the heads up to a local auction guy to try to get the truck back. It went to auction brought 4550. The guy who got it sold it for 5,200 to a guy from N.C. The things it had going for it though were it was a very extremely clean-no rust truck-power eveything. Completely rebuilt underneath-brand new tires- bed was mint condition.

Maybe its regional or state by state on resell.

Brisco, most of your posts in these forums have revolved around your truck and what kinda of peice of crap it is. However, you never say why, or what you don't like about the truck, you just flame on. Enlighten me please on what it is you dont like about it.
