On long trips, right behind my right knee would start to ache. The only thing that helped was putting a T shirt, balled up, under my leg.

I haven't been on a long trip in a while, so I'm not sure if the seats have broken in by now. When I hit the highway, and I'm going to be on it for at least 20 minutes, I use the cruise control after hitting 6th and move my leg around every so often. FWIW, I'm only 170 lbs and there's no pain anywhere else, like my lower back that some have complained about.

I find the cloth seats to be very comfortable, but I have them set up in an 'ergo' position, kind of up close, back pretty upright, with minimal pressure under the thighs. The plain seats don't have a bunch of motors and actuators in them like the fancy electronically adjustable seats, evidently just more padding.

Seat fit is a very personal thing as nobody is shaped the same way.

Unfortunately the American companies STILL don't know how to design a proper car/truck seat. Soft seats feel real good in the showroom and around town, but when you get on long trips you'll be feeling it.

It would be really nice if the aftermarket got more aggressive with replacement seats for heavy duty truck cutomers like us.

I would imagine a proper orthopedic design mounted to a shock absorbing frame would be the best. And with a lever or switch where you could turn off the shock absorbing for around town and turn it on when going on a lon trip or a bumpy road. Support for your body, but not bouncing you all over the cab.

I saw those, they look nice.

I didn't see any pricing, so I'm not sure how expensive they are.

Maybe a scaled down version for "consumer" use?

Some thoughts

I think that if they made the seat bottom move speratly from the back it would work better. I am only 5'5" and the bottom of the seat back pokes me in the back. My friends car is like that and it is great.

I like the idea of Caddy seats from an Escilade or somthing.

It seems most all of us find the seats uncomfortable, regardess of our heights and weights. If there is a common area of complaint, it's the bar under the seat cushion, me thinks.
