some packages have the platinum color plastic there. You could probably find somebody who wants to trade.

 

I think it was the Sport Models with the center console instead of jumpseat.

It's like a fake brushed chrome.

I hate it too, being that I have gray interior, I solved part of it by putting in Black Wet Okole seat covers, Black dash mat, and Black floor mats. I've hidden most of the gray so the wood is not as offensive. I miss my 02 1500 sport interior, all black except for the Tan ceiling liner.

 

eBay has all different options for change out.

 

IIRC, there are stick-on overlays for that out there ..... chrome, carbon fiber, etc..

eBay should carry them.

 

It's funny. I kind of like the wood look so I just bought a Laramie dash panel and door panels. Makes it look more refined and makes me want to eat Grey Poupon Mustard while I'm driving......
