I'd buy a Ford if it came with a Cummins engine.

Another thing I don't like with the 06, which I'm sure is all 3rd gens, is the placement of the oil filter. Dificult to get to I think.

Lets see $42000 msrp and cant let truck idle in park because pump will burn up
stupid firetrucking reverse honk feature.
nonexistant customer service
have to pay for heater cord
have to pay for high idle feature
breathe on the paint to hard and it will scratch(seriously the paint in my 2006 11000 mile dodge looks worse than my 96 chevy 3500 dually did at 325000 when i got rid of it)

I love my cummins just dont really care for the dodge its wrapped in.
wouldnt buy a ferd with a cummins though.
chevy with a cummins, allison, hmmm wrap it up ill take it

Yes you can burn up your trans if you idle it for several hours in park. As for the reverse honk if you leave your seat belt fastened it will not honk or at least mine will not unless I take off my seat belt. The block heater cords its up to the dealer if they order it or not with the truck as a $10.00 option as the trucks in the warmer states don’t need one. The high idle feature with the cruise control is a feature that some don't use so it's not turned on at the factory. I have 12,000 miles on my truck and have no problems with the paint but then mine was made in Mexico so they may use better paint. From what I have been told about the Allison trans from a re-builder it's not at all the great of a trans the only thing it has going for it is that its a six speed.

-- -- I should not even have to tell you how to fix your problem with the power drill!!! IT'S EASY-----throw the darn thing through the rear window----say that it was vandalized, and get a new rear window!!!! ------!!!! If it dosent work then, have the dealer install a sliding back glass window back there and forget about the rear defroster not working------it wont be there!!

I hate two things about my ram:
1. THE LOW MAINTENANCE!!

2. THE RELIABILITY

Sorry, I couldn't resist

You wanna talk about worthless cupholders, you should have seen the ones in my 96 Ram 2500. Alot better now, problem with the new ones is you can't find them in the dark. I wish they would have put a light down there, as well as under the hood, and in the glove box. Another nicety would have been to light the steering controls like they did with the door controls.

Yes I'm doing all the service my self.
axles($50.00-every 50k)/ t-case($15.00-every 30k) / tranny($45.00 including filter-every 30k) fluid changes don't cost much anyway, also that is maintenance you have on all vehicles(gas burners) that are 4wd.

04 ctd I'm not trying to be rude, but what's your point?
