Truck Weight!!!
Just how much these trucks weigh. I have a deck mounted tool box in the back that has pretty much stuff in it, but no lead in it, rails, had a half a tank of fuel, and me 220# See attached doc. I'm not sure how accurate their scales are for light trucks

Re:Truck Weight!!!
Just weighed mine... 9187 lbs ..big canopy and load of tools..with a GVW sticker of 12000 that leaves lots of capacity left over...for licence plates here..we give a max combined weight for loaded truck and trailer and its based on that..and pay on a sliding scale..if you go light and get caught you get fined

Steer 4320
Drive 3220
Gross 7540
That's with full tank of fuel and SuperGlide 5th wheel hitch

Re:Truck Weight!!!
Check you registration, see what weight your dealer put on it. mine put 9000lbs and according to DOTD that is max weight! they told me to go back and get the weight limit upgraded to max of the truck. if i were to get in a wreck or any mishap with anykind of load and total weight was over 9000lbs. I'm at wrong.

There's been tons of discussion from the weight police here about the legalities, and reality of folks being sued etc after an accident about being overweight while towing. I'm not talking about fat drivers.

Yep, I am also registered in MD and the weight rating the dealer put in was 7000lbs. No need to pay excessive tax.

Re:Truck Weight!!!
Mine was 7600 pounds the day after getting home from the dealer. It was 5-6 gallons short of a full tank of fuel. No people, no dogs, not even the owners manual was in it.

Re:Truck Weight!!!
My curb weight according to DC's literature is 6955 pounds. After installing a fiver hitch, two border collies and a skinny wife it weighed 8,250 pounds. DC's numbers are for reference only and like trailer weights, seldom reflect reality. FWIW.

The first time I went to pull my truck I was suprised to see that my extended cab short bed weighed in at 7620. I had to pull out the tool box and spare tire to make weight in the 7500# class
