This Truck is a Dandy!

I got my new 2008 delivered Dec 4th. I just went over 1600 miles tonight and I like the truck more and more.

Its smooth, powerful, passes like a banshee and just runs great. I can never figure out when its in regen so I'm gonna quit worrying about it. The cruise controls work the best of any vehicle I've had - maybe its the motor. The trans is great and I love it.

The only thing I've found I don't like so far is the ease at which the tow haul button comes on....seems I hit it inadvertently once in a while and I look up and its on.

I've averaged right a 15 mpg with the last tank at 16.7. All hand calculated.

Very very nice ride all I can say is it's a Dandy. That's a saying my Dad used to use and I've never called anything that. To me it means its not perfect but it sure is very nice.

Anyway.......that's my story for now. I know everything is mechanical junk and this thing may let me down someday but right now I'm happy.

sounds like a sweet truck you got. that pretty much sums up how I feel about mine also. can't complain much so far but I feel dodge quality could be a little better. but the Cummins can't be beat, its whats under the hood that counts.

Coming from a slightly modded 2003 RAM 2500 Quad Cab Sport 305/555 and NV5600 (381/728 on Dunbar's Dyno) I, too, am quite pleased with the truck in its stock form. Lots of times I have no additonal request from the skinny pedal in its stock form.

Congrats on the new truck.

I've had mine comin' up on 2 years, still smilin', DANDY is a good description - was both my Fathers and Grandfathers term as well, so I get it.

Congrats on the new truck, enjoy.
