Truck broken into
#16
Funny, I paid a little more for a home gun safe that was 100x bigger!
Man that safe is spendy!! -----$250 + shipping is kinda steep.
Sometimes I wonder why prices aren't a little lower at Gino's. I guess some people don't care...
Of course the alternative is possible loss from theft. I just don't put spendy stuff in there. Did I mention that I added a Viper alarm??? That was the only way to get an autostart alarm that had a 1+ mile range... anyway, the flashing blue LED will probably do more to keep people out than me taking my door apart, (risking future rattles) and adding a $2.00 piece of metal.
Besides a theif running into that thingy will likely **** him off, and do EVEN MORE DAMAGE to your truck.
Sorry, theives probably don't read window stickers. But I know alarm LEDS work...

my viper alarm is nice. Not only did it come with remote start, but it detects vibrations, doors opening, hood latch tampering, and i dont even know what else. the previous owner installed it, and i love it.

One way to slow down a thief is to leave your transfer case in neutral. Most thieves will have a hard time figuring it out unless they are very familiar with the vehicle.

We have a very serious problem down here. Dodge Heavy Duties are routinely being stolen in the big box parking lots from Tucson to Douglas.
I have several friends who have lost them in minutes. If you are visiting Arizona be very, very careful. Frankly, while in town I never leave the truck unattended without it either being in frequent eyesight or, parked near store entrances. The truck's at risk not the contents.
I understand the factory Sentry Anti-Theft system option has been fairly effective. I ordered the truck with one but it's inconvenient (cost and keys).
Yep, that's how bad it has become.

Sorry about your woes, I myself have the Viper system in a few vehicles and am pleased with it another good option is to disable the start system or the fuel system other than maybe some broken glass the vehicle does'nt move well, unless they tow it.
