Unhappy Trouble code p0251

Pulled codes on my truck and this came up. P0251 = injection pump fuel valve feedback. What does this mean? Does it have something to do with the fuel pressure limiting valve? The truck is running fine. I check for codes every once and a while just to check things. I was quite surprised when I actually had one. Thanks in advance for any help you may have.

I've had this code on the rare occassion, but it tends to go away after a few cycles. Performance doesn't seem to be affected at all, but like my dealer said ... I still have a lot of warranty left!

yes I have gotten that code a few times but it usually comes on when the truck stumbles... It has been attritubited to the pressure relief valve.. Have the dealer do a leakdown test setting the injector pump to max pressure. they will be able to tell that the valve is leaking pressure past. but the dealer is still trying to find the fuel rail with the pressure relief valve in it. I guess that they can't find just the valve. Good luck!!!

Mine threw the same code about 6 months ago and it ran like crap did not have any power over 2000rpm's. Dealer put a new pressure limiting valve in it and it runs like new.

I've had the P0125 twice now - the first time I didn't notice anything, but this last time it felt like the engine stumbled (i.e. didn't get fed fuel for a about a half second) around 2000 rpm.

Is there a TSB on this?
