Trip Computer
Here is good news for everyone who wants their trip computer mpg function to go up and down as you drive. When you have it in mpg mode, just hit the reset button and it will work that way. I found this out today going to work.Try it, mine went from 4.4 up to 35.7 .I had to turn it off because I kept looking at it and not the road. 8)

The readout is an average of the MPG since the last reset.
The longer you go between resets, the slower the readout will change as you drive.
Try a reset while coasting downhill.
I had 58 MPG one time. :

Re:Trip Computer
My 2001 2500 has both the average mpg and the current mpg. I can't imagine why DC would revert back to only having the average mpg in a truck that costs this much!

Harry

I ran my avg mpg up to 99.9 on my Ram. A half mile from home I have a 3.5 mile down grade. At this summit I reset mileage with foot off the go pedal. As I traveled down hill the average mileage slowly increased to 99.9 mpg. Somewhat meaningless but a novelty.
