Trailer wiring question
I have a problem in the wiring on my truck for the trailer wiring. All of the lights on the truck work fine but the trailer stop and turn (right sde) are out. Clearance is working fine and the left side is normal... just right stop and turn.
I chased it up the wiring harness to where it turns up to the dash and all of the fuses are good...(Changed them just to make sure)
Any suggestion on where to go next?
I loned out my car trailer and it came back with the wiring hanging down under it and I noticed the problem with my truck after using it so I am thinking that something is burned up... just not sure what??
Help!

If the truck all works well then it is in the plugs I would think. The signal and brake light are on the same wire. Could be the bulb also. Need to do some investigating. Did you check for power after the plugs? Jim

Trailer is all LED's. I don't have power at the plug for the right side pin (green wire) on the truck... or on the gooseneck connection... Or anywhere in the wiring harness all the way to where the harness turn up into the cab.
I have check every connection that I could find... all look good.
Makes me nervous changing lanes in traffic...

IF the wiring was hanging down, it could have shorted to ground.
I'm not sure (truck on order) about Dodge's tow package wiring; My ford has a relay and a fuse for each circuit. It could be that the short fried the relay contacts. You may have to hunt that down & reoplace it. It's also possible that there is a fusible link, near the back end of the truck. Again, not sure as I don't have documentation, nor a truck to look at.

There are relays for the right and left trailer turn lights. I assume (but not sure) the relays are in the PDC (power distribution center) in the engine compartment. Take the lid off the PDC and look for them. Swap the left and right relays and see what happens.

thanks guys.
I will look into the relays... unfortunately the manual is not helpful at all unless I am looking for "how to use the radio" or "how to adjust the seats"
I will do it tomorrow.
