trailer brake lights

ok ive had this problem before and had it fixed now its back

driver side trailer brake light not working and its not the trailer, truck lights work fine. 7 pin plug no light or the 4 pin so does anyone have a wiring diagram for trailer wiring for the ram?

dodge fixed it before, but i hate bringing it in rather do it myself

Check the fuses under the hood... if the fuses are good then it is going to be the Power Distribution Box that the fuses plug into...
$250 for the part and about 20 minutes to change it out...

I thought I'd add to that I had a similar problem. Lights would work for a while and then out. It ended up that the contacts on the lights and sockets were corroded. I cleaned them off and haven't had any trouble since

Have you checked ALL of your grounds, no tjust the tongue? I have the LED lights on my trailer & the white wire grounds to 1 of the studs that mount each taillight on. Apparently I had some corrosion on the hole when I installed it so I had a heck of a time finding the issue. I ended up moving the ground off of the stud & mounting it beside it w/ a tapcon.

Sorry to interrupt, are there any consistent problems between the 4-way plug & the 7-way? My lights all work on my 7-way, but for some reason my 4-way acts up inconsistently.

That would probably just be a short in the 4 way wire loom... It could be in the 4 way connector also... I have had to replace them after they get loose and hit the ground a few times...

no problems with trailer,all grounds good .hooked it to my other truck all good,i hooked my other trailer up to my truck same thing, no driver side tail on trailer only. checked all fuses, good. ill read those other threads and see what i come up with. when the dealer fixed they soldered something just dont know what and where

i had that same problem awhile back and found the 7 pin to be the culprit. changed outthe plug on the truck and works perfect know and has for some time too.
