Trailer brake connector (again)

Hi All. I now that this has been discusssed before, but I still can't find my (blue plug) for the electric trailer brakes. I have a 2005 1500 quad cab 4.7 6sp ST (base model). Could the ST wiring harness be different than every other ones? I have half of the dash apart and have followed the main harness from the firewall to the back of the insturment cluster with no luck. ANY thoughts?
(sorry if this posts twice, my computer had a burp??????) not sure if the 1st post worked

On the floor directly ahead of your park brake pedal. Either just above, just below or just to the left of a big wad of wires going into a connector. If your truck came with the brake harness the plug *should* be there.

Yeah, it's back in there, behind some stuff. Took me a little bit to find it...hope I don't have to unplug it, lol!

Did you get the tow package with your 1500? If not, it may not be there.

The easiest way to find it is put your head on the floormat and look up with a flashlight.it is usually in the area between the prking brake and steering column.

I have not been able to find the plug. I guess the 1500 without the trailer pkg doesn't have the plug (even though everyone feels all rams have them). I'll just wire it myself. THANKS to all.

At least on the 2nd generation, the trailer tow package included the trailer wiring harness (with the controller plug) and the hitch receiver. I can't speak with certainty about the 3rd generation trucks, but there's every chance that it's not there if the truck doesn't have the trailer tow package.
