Track Bar installation

Anyone in Nashville area expereinced or know of a good shop to install a custom track bar. I am a little concerned with all the post with the DW on a new 43k truck especially with my wife and 18 month old little girl using it as much as I do. I am wanting to go ahead and get this taken care of.

Looking at my Thuren bar that I haven't installed yet (waiting for the lift) it looks like it is really easy to do. Just remove the old one, adjust the new one to the same length, then bolt it in. Looks like a piece of cake to me...am I missing something here?

maybe i am a little confused. It was my understanding that it required to re-align the axle after installation.

Installing a track bar is fairly straight forward( I have installed several on my Jeeps). The main ? is are you just putting a heavy duty one on for the hell of it, or did you do a lift, too? If no lift, measure old one eye to eye & if the new one is adjustable make it the EXACT same length. If you put a lift on, do you need a drop bracket, too, to reach proper angle. No matter what, you will need to get an alignment afterwards. HTH

The track bar locates the axle on the latitudinal axis (side to side). If you take the old out and put the new in with the exact same length no alignment should be needed if you're not lifting the truck at the same time.

If you can do it w/out getting an alignment afterwards, your lucky. Rarely will they be the exact same length i.e. w/in a 32nd of an inch.

They arent hard at all to put on. Did you get an aftermarket one or a stock replacement? Let me know if you need any help. I could probably put it on for you and then you could get it aligned somewhere.

Just curious, how does an alignment adjust for the track bar anyway?

That's the bar I have. Don thinks I should have my shocks, towers and springs sometime next week. Once I get them everything will go in at once. I'll let you know how easy it is to install.
