toyo Tires 295/70r17 will they fit my truck???
I been thinking of a set of toyo mt 295/70r17 for my truck it has no lift but a set of centerline rims with 4.5 bs Just wondering if I can stuff them under the truck??? Need to know soon kinda snowing out side the stock michelin ats tires suck in the snow.

The only reason you may possibly have any problems is the 4.5 backspacing.
That sticks the tires out there a good 1.5"ish. So you could potentially rub the fender at full lock. 295 isn't a real wide tire so you could be ok. If you're stock height it actually gives you a little extra room on the fender side, though a very small amount.

Toyo's - Buy the 285/75 17's they are taller and not so wide, better on the ice and snow - the 295/70 17's will work fine though and not rub anything with the stock rims.

I got the toyo 295/70r17 put on today. Truck looks great and no rubbing at full lock. the roads were icey in to town to change the tires kinda a scary ride. Much better comeing home with a tire with a little bite.
Nice tire around the ranch we must have 12 in of soft snow on our gravel roads the toyo handle them good so far.

Ha! Didn't realize you were right next door. What did you pay in Burns? I assume you went to Les Schawb... Got me for close to $1500 including the center siping and a set of chains ($105.)

I have that same tire and my wheels have the same back spacing as the ones you are going to install . I have the 2" spacers in front and my tires rub a little against the back of the wheel wells . Also with that back spacing my tires stick out past the fender so far I had to put on Bushwacker Fender flares to keep from throwing water 20' in the air down both sides of my truck , If you want to see how they look , look in my galerie . Thankfully I found this thread through the search feature.
I am about to pull the trigger to get the Toyo MT 295/70R17 and would like to know if the posters in this thread are still happy with their choice?
Also, to confirm, I have no lift and stock rims so there will be no tire rub at full lock?
Do the MT's give good traction through most of their tire life?
I currently have the Toyo AT 285/70R17. They did great in snow, ice, rain and wore evenly (but quickly). I also liked the load rating 3750 lbs @ 80 psi. However, the AT traction seemed to noticeably diminish when they became 1/2 worn out.
The MT 295's load rating is comparable at 3970 lbs @ 80 psi versus the other Toyo MT sizes at 3195 lbs @ 80 psi.

Also looking to go bigger, and would like to know if i will I be able to use the stock wheels with Toyo MT 295/70R17 tires?
I have the 2.5" leveling kit on the front end and I will be picking up 2" rear spacers from Fred at WheelAdapters.com this weekend. I occasionally tow a 5th wheel weighing in at about 16.5k
Thanks in advance for the replies!

No problem with stock wheels and Toyo MT 295/70R17. You may get a little rubbing on the control arms at full lock when they are new, but this is no big deal. I have about 35000kms on mine and wear has been reasonable, half of that is with a camper. I should get another year out of them. Traction has remained decent, if they have a shortcoming it would be ice, but I have not had a mud terrain yet that has been great on ice.
