Well I am not against running some over the GCVW, I run about 30,000# but I think that is just dumb.

You have to be over your truck and trailers individual GVWs' and axle/tire limits.

I have done some seriously stupid things in the past (I mis-spent my youth).
Let me see:
I once pulled a 30' GN flatbed (3 axles, no brakes), 12.5 ton of the best looking second cutting alfalfa you ever saw! The thing weighed over 45K when done.
I have pulled 2 12x66 mobile homes with my truck.
I have filled the bed with wet clay sand when the truck was just over 1K miles and the wife yakked at me all the way home!
I have graduated to only doing slightly stupid things as of late though.

I've hauled more than 3/4 of a ton in my bed before. Truck was sitting exactly 1/2" off the bumpstops. Did this several times. Never had a problem.

Last hay season I hauled 19 1,500lbs round bales at a time on a 40' flatdeck gooseneck with 12k tandem duals under it, with my 03 3500 DRW HO/48re. The hay itself weighed about 28,500lbs, the trailer was about 7-8,000lbs on top of that. So I was around 35,500-36,500 behind the truck. That was dumb as $hit, the truck took it but I actually bent the trailer's neck due to the weight. Now I spend my days hauling light loads like three vehicles at a time on our take 3 step deck trailer

You guys gotta start taking more pictures!!! (kinda like "hold my beer, and WATCH THIS!)
Coolest thing I've seen was a gen. 2 dually pulling a broke down tractor trailer down the highway with a tow strap!!! I still dont understand how the worked out stopping, doesnt a semi need the engine running to build up pressure for the air brakes???
Maybe they figured that out later
