I will be installing a 6" lift soon and i also tow regulary. For those that tow also with a lift kit any suggestions. I dont want to have the rear of my truck dragiing the ground from squating. Do i need to buy some air ride helper bags.

If your going to lift the truck 6 inches, most likely the rear is only 4 (to make truck level) So yes if you hook up the rear will sag. if you want to eliminate this, you can either put a 5 or 6 inch block back there so when it sags it will sit correctly (level) You can also add air bags with spacers (will need them for the lift) and that waill make things a lot better for towing, since it won't be too high, or put any driveline components in a bind. I think I'm going to go with a custom air bag set up (since the MBRP duals is in the way of the standard mounting way) so it'll be a bit unique. How much does the truck sag now??

I lifted mine 6", and did not want to level the truck. I prefer the look of the rake.

All of the kits level your truck, and I didn't want to put 6" of blocks in the rear...So I had rear springs custom made.

They are still 1-Ton springs, just 6" taller than the stock ones. It doesn't squat, and it actually rides better than the stock springs.

It only cost about another $250 to go with these, so I felt it was worth it. My picture gallery was just posted today, so it'll be up soon.

Where did you get the springs for that price at. That's alot cheaper than I have found so far?

It depends how much weight and the lift you install. I have a 3'in kit on mine and on the rear they used add-a-leafs instead of blocks. I put almost a full pallet of SOD in the back of mine and she squated a little bit.

Just as a check on the price - it's been several months ago, so I don't remember the exact price. I had a local shop (auto barn) install my lift, and they hooked me up with AB Spring when I told them how I wanted to do it. I took it there to be measured up and Auto Barn handled it from there.

As I remember it, the Auto Barn guy quoted me around $230 or $250 to go with the custom springs. I may have been getting a better price because they were technically the ones buying them from him.

I don't hold anybody to quotes on these things. It all changes to fast in this modern world but at least it gives me another place to try. Thanks

Call the lift kit company and tell them you want to tow with your lifted truck. My buddy had a Rancho 6" lift on his F350 and couldn't tow squat. He called Rancho and they told him that the lift kit he installed would not hold up to the factory load specs. He ripped it out and put in a Superlift which seemed to be Ok. Needless to say, he now drives a Ram 2500 CTD with a superlift 6" kit and all is well.
