torn weatherstripping
Anybody ever hear of the top front corner of the the front drivers door tearing up their weatherstripping? I seen that it was wearing on it about a year ago, and today when I got home and shut the door it ripped and ****** me off. Oh and the truck is an early 04

MMMmmmm.... Grits!!
Mostly the doors tear the w/strips at the corners near the base of the windshield. That's the most common. Dodge has redesigned these a couple of times and the latest update is the best. They shouldn't tear again. They were around $16 not too long ago.

Got mine fixed under warranty. They finally put the good ones on the 06s. Most dealers have them in stock for less than $20 per side for the new ones with the notch.

I thought there was a TSB on these door weatherstrips, maybe they have an expiration date? Got mine done both sides no charge.Be firm it's a design flaw.

I had mine replaced under warranty also, but that was before even the 36k was out. I believe there was a TSB. I just drove in and showed it to my service writer and he said no problem we'll replace both fronts.

thanks for all the replies, I'm not the original owner of my truck and have never paid to get the warranty transferred, but the truck has only 58000 on the clock, do you think a dealer would give me a hard time?

He'd just point you nicley to the parts window. TSB's are NOT a extension of warranty.Just paper letting techs and others know about a update or design change to a item etc.Your truck had a 3/36 warranty on those rubbers.
