topic beat to death but need advice
I am going to install the 2 inch leveling kit from Lorenz Industries this weekend. I ordered it with the 6% spring.
Here's the deal guys. I received permission from the budget and finance department (wife) that I could get new bigger tires. I was planning on useing my stock 17 inch wheels and go with 35 inch Toyo MT BUT I really, really would like to get the 37 inch toyo Mt. Of course my question is "will 37inchers fit"? I just did a search and have read for the last hour, my eyes hurt, but still am unsure. If they are to big and I have alot of trouble I am looking at living in the hay loft of the barn for a while.
Oh! I should tell you what I going to put these on 2004 3500 long box quad cab 4x4, 305 Cummins, 48RE, 4:10 gears.
Please help, I don't want to sleep in the barn it is starting to get cold in the night.

They SHOULD fit, but itll take a little fender trimming(To have NO rub)
PM XLR8R(?)
3" lift will clear just fine, and have more room to articulate, etc
H2s will also help push the wheels/tire out just a tad(but not enough to create rubbing problems from the other side)
IMO, if you are just doing the 2" springs for now, run 35s.
When you can go with a nice 3"-4" lift later, then rock the 37s.
Just my .02

Thanks every one and Thank you Stacked97 your .02 is worth a lot more than .02 to me. I did try to purchase a set of H2 wheels from the classifieds on this site but never got a response back form either party. The 37 inch toyos are only $10 more that the 35 inch $274 for the 37s and 264 for the 35s. Shipping was alittle more and I thought for the difference I would jump on the 37s.
As far as the lift goes I plan on getting the Lorenz 2.25 system but I can't go any higheer. My wife hurt her back really bad and has a lot of trouble lifting her feet high enough to get in to something much higher. That is why I thought of keeping the lift as small as I could and getting the height out of the tires.
Thanks alot guys

i have 35" toyos and at 60 on the speedo im doing about 1700 to 1750 rpm and really traveling at 66 to 67 mph. i didnt notice any gain in fuel mileage but you might.. in town it wiil get worse but some people say it better on the hwy. i have seem xlr8r truck and he has had to cut a little on the back of the front fender and the tries rub on the sway bar and the lower control arm when turning. 35 look pretty good with a leveling kit anbd most 35" tires wont rub. hope this helps a little

Another thing to consider, are some decent steps.
I picked up some Ranch Hand steps for my fiancee, since shes only 4'11"
She had some problems getting in my truck after I put on the 35s/4" lift.
It really does make getting in a whole lot easier though, that extra step before stepping up to the cab hieght helps. I also like the fact that the clamp the stock framerails, and dont screw to the pinchweld like many of the others do.
Heres a quick pic(I dont really have any good pictures of the steps)

they are pricey but the AMP power running boards are retracting so when they lower into position they sit a lot lower than most running boards or side steps.. Just a tip so you can talk her into the lift..

37's?
Bob4x4's running 37" MT's currently, but I don't know if he's using the longer Carli control arms or not. I think they come with the 3.0 Dominator system he's using. They are 1/2" longer. You'll need five 35's to make this work and a 35" spare will fit under your truck.

You NEED the CORRECT length arms and rear springs to fit 37s with out trimming. With my set up and stock wheels I can stuff the tires front and rear 4bying with out issues.
The 37's make a big diff off road
